Andrew Crenshaw

Confluence follows the Russell and Cuffel families and the many streams that ran into them, from New England and the Rhine in the 1600s to the Wallowa valley of Oregon in 1950. It is built on original records, with family stories credited to the people who told them.

Inside the book

The book opens in the Wallowa valley in 1943, where three of the Russell children made their homes. Then it goes back to the oldest records, in the 1630s, and follows each family stream forward until they meet.
